Seva Kitchen — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Seva Kitchen is an order-management app for community kitchens. It is built to keep data on your device and, for connected kitchens, in your organization's own backend. It contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
What the app stores
- On your device: your kitchen's menu, orders, stock counts, daily reports, staff profile names, and (only if you type them) customer names and phone numbers used for order-ready messages. PINs are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes.
- On your organization's backend (connected kitchens only): staff names, roles, PIN hashes, enrolled devices, order events (what was ordered and when, and which staff member acted), and — if a staff member turns notifications on — that device's push subscription. This backend is provisioned per organization on Cloudflare's platform and is not shared between organizations.
What the app never does
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- No advertising or marketing use of any data.
- No location tracking, contact access, camera access without an explicit action (adding an item photo), or background collection.
Customer order links
A customer may be given a private link (QR code) showing only their own order's number, items, and status. The link contains an unguessable secret and reveals nothing about any other order.
Notifications
Staff notifications are opt-in per device and can be turned off in Settings at any time. Notification content is limited to order numbers and item names.
Data retention and deletion
On-device data can be deleted by removing the profile in Settings or uninstalling the app. Organization administrators can disable staff accounts immediately; order events are retained as the kitchen's record of account. To request deletion of an organization's backend data, contact the operator below.
Request data deletion
To request deletion of data held about you — a staff account and its activity attribution, or a customer name/phone number attached to an order — email vinitmakwana69@gmail.com with the kitchen name and the name or phone number to remove. Requests are honoured within 30 days. Staff accounts can also be removed on the spot by the kitchen's administrator (Settings → Manage kitchen), and uninstalling the app deletes all on-device data immediately.
